Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

This is a 13-week contract position working 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a holiday rotation and weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in pediatrics to provide exceptional care to our young patients. You will be an essential part of our healthcare team, ensuring the highest standards of respiratory therapy are delivered in a pediatric setting, which includes neonates and infants.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient vital signs and changes in condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory care.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic health record (Epic preferred).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonate, and infant respiratory care.
• Current RRT certification, along with BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license must be active before start date.
• Epic experience is preferred but not required.
