Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, midnight shifts Saturday and Sunday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. The RN will work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice and will carry out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and professional practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivering quality nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to uphold professional nursing standards.
• Carrying out functions according to hospital policies and professional guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience is required.
• Ability to circulate within the OR is required.
• Experience with Orthopedic, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro specialties is required.
• Current Michigan RN license is required, along with LARA and Nursys verification.
• Trauma Level II experience is preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• Completion of a skills checklist within the last year is required.
