Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care within the Emergency Department. The RN maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient assessment and care delivery.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and effective judgment in patient management.
• Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Arizona RN License.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing preferred.
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility.
