Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12hr shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Full-time schedules of 36 or 48 hours available per week, including 1 weekend shift weekly or 2 weekend shifts every other week. Must be willing to work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

Join our Orthopedic Unit as a Registered Nurse, providing high-quality patient care in an acute medical-surgical and telehealth environment. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed and take on charge responsibilities when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent acute medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and orthopedic nursing experience.
• Active NY RN license required.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications by AHA.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
