Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) & Alternate Level of Care Unit

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Flexible scheduling options: 36 or 48 hours per week with requirements to work at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the West 4 Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) & Alternate Level of Care Unit (ALC), which comprises 36 beds. This role involves assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and implementing treatment plans while monitoring patient outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and manage a caseload of patients in the ACE and ALC units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes using EPIC charting.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and participate in care planning.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
