Job Description

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and other personnel to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation.
• Ensure patient comfort and address inquiries as necessary.
• Work closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up.
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Must hold an active license or plan to test to obtain a license in the state of California.
• Continuing education courses are preferred.
