Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this role provides optimal patient care by utilizing their knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The RN is accountable for individualized patient outcomes across the episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Address cognitive and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
• Ensure care meets department age-specific competency standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including the ability to identify and measure telemetry rhythm strips.
