Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Schedule
Must be able to start full shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. This position involves 5 shifts of 7.5 hours each week for a total of 37.5 hours.
Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living needs, maintaining resident safety, supporting meal-related activities, and aiding with mobility and rehabilitative needs. This position involves working day and evening shift rotations and requires availability for every other weekend and holiday.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living needs (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care, etc.) per care plan.
- Maintain resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
- Support residents during meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and using adaptive equipment as needed.
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion exercises, walking, transfers, and proper positioning.
- Document and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
- Provide companionship and support for residents' social and emotional needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights at all times.
- Report any resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse promptly.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification.
- BLS certification (must be through AHA or RQI).
Assignment Duration
This role is a 13-week contract position.
