Assignment Duration

This is a 10-week contract position.

Schedule

Weekend Days: 7:00am-7:30pm on Saturday, Sunday, & Monday. On-call and callback as per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate the MRI machine efficiently, ensuring patient comfort throughout the scanning process while coordinating with physicians to ensure timely delivery of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate concerns.
• Insert IVs as necessary for the tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• Possession of BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• GE scanner experience is mandatory.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Certification through the ARRT is preferred.
• MUST have injection certification.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license required (must be willing to obtain after starting).
