Job Description

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for scanning inpatient and emergency room patients, along with a limited number of outpatients. The technologist must be capable of operating independently, utilizing an imaging aide rather than a second MRI technologist. The position involves the use of a Siemens Espree MRI scanner and Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans on patients as per medical protocols and procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain and manage imaging equipment and technology.
• Work collaboratively as part of the healthcare team to provide patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of independent scanning experience required.
• Current NYS ARRT with injection license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Compliance with health history requirements such as COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, and others as necessary for onboarding.
