Registered Nurse - Medical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Flexibility is required as hours and shift preferences are not guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, utilizing clinical skills and professional nursing practices. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and participation in various medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in the implementation of care plans and conduct patient assessments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of nursing experience.
• Current Hawaii RN license (required by the start of the assignment).
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
