Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM, with a holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides specialized respiratory care for pediatric patients, including neonates and infants, in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to pediatric patients.
• Evaluate respiratory therapy effectiveness and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and management.
• Document all interventions and changes in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonate, and infant care.
• Current RRT certification.
• BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license must be active at the start date.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
