Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Shift: Mids, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care for patients in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patients' conditions and assign Emergency Severity Index.
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions and stabilize critical patients.
• Administer necessary medications and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to staff qualifications and competencies.
• Maintain clinical competency through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
• Must hold current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and SAMA or equivalent.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.
