Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department. Utilizing the Nursing Process and adhering to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, the RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of patient care, with a focus on maintaining clinical competencies and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patient conditions and assign Emergency Severity Index.
• Provide immediate life-saving interventions and stabilize critical patients.
• Administer necessary medications and coordinate care with healthcare professionals.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on education and experience of staff.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel in patient care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and SAMA or equivalent certifications required.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred.
• Active state RN license required.

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, working a total of 48 hours per week.
