Shifts are scheduled from 06:00 to 18:00, with a focus on day shifts.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care across med-surg and step-down levels, managing a mix of patients with varying acuity. The role may require occasional floating to critical care units to assist with low acuity patients. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the responsibilities associated with both med-surg and step-down nursing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care at med-surg and step-down levels.
• Manage patient care with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6, depending on patient acuity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in required holidays, including one major holiday each season.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• 1 year of experience in PCU/Stepdown nursing preferred.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• PALS certification required if the assignment is extended.
