Registered Nurse - ICU

This is a 3x12 hour night shift position from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU will be responsible for providing exceptional care to critically ill patients. This role involves assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care. The RN may float to all ICU floors and could be required to care for COVID patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs of critically ill patients.
• Manage arterial lines and central line care.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and perform suctioning procedures.
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and maintain BiPAP/CPAP equipment.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and participate in rapid response situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• EPIC charting experience is heavily preferred.
• Ability to work on weekends and during major holidays as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
