Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 3x12 hour shifts, which include day (07:00 - 19:30) and night (19:00 - 07:30) shifts.

Job Description

The role involves working in the Stepdown unit with potential to float to various units providing care for similar patient populations. This position requires a commitment to work at least every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Assist with patient assessments and treatment planning.
• Float to other units when necessary to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Complete required assessments during orientation including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent nursing experience in a Stepdown unit or equivalent.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• 18 months of recent patient care experience is preferred.
