Nurse Manager (RN) - ICU

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Typically M-F, with shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM. Managers may also be onsite outside of these hours as needed.
Job Description
The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning and leading nursing staff to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care in compliance with regulatory standards. This role functions independently, providing opportunities for developing standards, establishing budgets, and monitoring performance. The Nurse Manager acts as a change agent and transitional leader, inspiring staff and fostering a learning organization environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the 24-hour management of patient care delivery.
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional growth.
- Maintain positive relationships with physicians, community members, and hospital staff.
- Design and implement educational programs and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve hospital goals.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 5+ years of managerial experience in a Level I or II facility.
- Critical Care/ICU experience is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license prior to hire.
- Current BLS certification is required; professional certification preferred.
- Experience as a first assist is necessary if the nurse manager is a graduate of an accredited nursing school and completed an RNFA program.
