Job Description

The FT Night Nurse Supervisor/Clinical Leader plays a crucial role in coordinating clinical activities and providing leadership within the acute care setting during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. This position involves collaborating with nursing staff, managing staffing levels based on patient acuity, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that fosters professional development among staff.
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare delivery for assigned shifts.
• Provide professional coaching and mentoring to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to solve problems and enhance patient care.
• Maintain effective communication with other nursing leaders and stakeholders.
• Manage emergency clinical and administrative situations while adhering to established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure.
• 3 years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of critical care experience, preferably in the Emergency Department.
• 1 year of leadership/charge nurse experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI (to be completed within 90 days of hire).
