Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Flexibility required for occasional weekend coverage.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Physical Therapist to join our team in Eastern New Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in both acute and ambulatory rehab settings. The role necessitates flexibility and the ability to float as needed based on hospital requirements. As a Physical Therapist, you will examine patients, develop treatment plans, and utilize various techniques to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and restore function.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in various settings, with an emphasis on acute and orthopedic care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and preventative strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of hospital-based experience as a Physical Therapist (externship/practicum experience excluded).
• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license (pending licenses will be accepted if the license is obtained prior to start).
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system is desirable.
• Knowledge of CMS skilled criteria and medical necessity guidelines.
