Job Description

The Oncology Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with cancer-related impairments to improve quality of life and mobility. Responsibilities include creating individualized, evidence-based exercise programs, providing patient education, and coordinating care with oncologists.

Responsibilities

• Manage musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular needs across the cancer continuum from diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship, and palliative care.
• Conduct 60-minute evaluations and 30-45 minute treatment sessions, typically treating one patient at a time.
• Implement exercise programs to build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance.
• Adapt therapy to assist patients with specific impairments, including pain management and functional limitations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2+ years current Physical Therapy experience.
• Oncology physical therapy experience is required.
• Active New Hampshire or Compact Physical Therapy License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience with EPIC and Expro is required.
• Previous outpatient orthopedic experience is required.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
