Job Description

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN will primarily care for patients who have undergone cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including open heart surgeries and thoracic lung surgeries. The unit serves as a stepdown area for patients recovering from such procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for those recovering from cardiovascular surgery and vascular procedures.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patients for various cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform tasks related to epidural management, chest tube management, and tube feedings.
• Administer intravenous medications and manage cardiac gtt as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have telemetry and stepdown experience.
• Preferred experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
