Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the 3W Cardiac Tele unit will provide care for patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, including telemetry patients, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and care for cardiac telemetry patients.
• Perform remote telemetry monitoring and respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Implement and manage specialty drips, such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin.
• Execute IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care and management.
• Assist with post-myocardial infarction and pre/post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and physical therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse with travel experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and IV therapy.
