Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive patient care across the lifespan, demonstrating competent assessment and clinical skills in a Med/Surg setting. The RN will be responsible for thorough patient assessments, implementing nursing processes, and maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Candidates will engage in effective patient education, particularly regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic assessments of patients across all age groups.
• Deliver direct patient care with attention to clinical execution and team collaboration.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient progress and nursing interventions.
• Adhere to professional standards and policies while identifying opportunities for growth.
• Enhance patient satisfaction by responding courteously and professionally to patients and families.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and employ safe practices during patient transfers.
• Understand surgical conditions, diagnoses, and procedures specific to Med/Surg patients.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and preoperative/postoperative care.

Required Experience

1 year of nursing experience is required. Candidates must possess a valid RN license and BLS certification.
