The position requires day shifts from Monday to Friday, with on-call duties one weekend per month.

Job Description

The Pediatric Echocardiography Technician will be responsible for performing echocardiograms on infant and pediatric patients with various cardiac conditions, including congenital anomalies. The technician will work closely with a team to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

Documentation will be conducted using the Epic charting system. The technician will be required to participate in weekend on-call shifts, with approximately 6-8 exams performed daily and a staffing ratio of 1:4 on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on infants and pediatric patients.
• Interpret echocardiographic data and collaborate with physicians.
• Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment, including GE and Philips systems.
• Participate in on-call shifts as scheduled.
• Document procedures in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Echocardiography Technician.
• Experience performing echocardiograms on diverse patient populations.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ARDMS RDCS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.
