Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 19:00 - 07:30, guaranteed 36 hours per week, with weekend hours required every other weekend.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, you will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit encompasses a total of 4 beds, with patient ratios of 1:4 depending on patient status. You will effectively manage equipment such as ventilators, IABP, A-lines, and CPAP, utilizing the EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage and document care using the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit if ICU capacity requires it.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required. Experience with the EPIC system is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
