ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Springfield, Vermont.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The position includes on-call duties, requiring 10 shifts per month, including one weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in the Operating Room, assisting with various responsibilities linked to general surgery services. The unit handles a range of cases involving abdominal organs, soft tissue masses, and traumatic injuries. The nurse will also be involved in urgent and emergent surgeries, including appendectomy, bowel obstruction relief, and complex laceration repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures as a circulator.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and patients.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience as a circulator with strong orthopedic experience is required.
• Traveler must have at least 3 months of travel experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Vermont RN license or Compact.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
