This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night shifts are from 9 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and from 7 PM to 7 AM on weekends. This position follows a 7 on, 7 off scheduling model. There is no call requirement, and floating is required.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform comprehensive blood bank testing and analysis, including advanced chemistry and hematology, ensuring accurate and timely results to support patient care. The position involves working with laboratory information systems such as McKesson, Medhost, and Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood bank testing and analysis with precision.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and standards.
• Utilize laboratory information systems effectively.
• Participate in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with extensive blood bank experience preferred (5 years).
• Proficiency in advanced chemistry and hematology.
• ASCP certification or equivalent required.

Certifications/Licensure

• ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
