Schedule/Shift

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36. Shifts are 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Intensive Care Unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit operates with a 1:4 patient ratio depending on patient status and is equipped with advanced medical technology including ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices. The electronic health record system used is EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in EPIC.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting is required. Candidates must have prior experience with EPIC.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
