ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Neuro (Night Shift) in Seattle, Washington.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend requirements as scheduled.

Job Description

This position involves providing care for patients who have undergone complex abdominal surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, and otolaryngology (head and neck) surgery. The nurse will support a diverse, high-acuity patient population requiring strong medical-surgical and telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs of patients.
• Perform assessments and reassessments of patient condition.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide pre and post-operative care, particularly for neurosurgery and thoracic surgery cases.
• Manage complex care procedures such as central line care, feeding tube management, and tracheostomy care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• Experience with diverse, high acuity patients, including post-operative care for thoracic surgeries.
• Strong skills in managing IV insulin protocols, PCA, and other high-acuity medical procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Washington state RN license (pending licenses are not accepted).
