This position requires Night Shift availability, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse, House Supervisor will oversee the nursing staff and patient care during off hours and weekends when no leadership is on site. This role involves managing various patient diagnoses across all units, including Medical-Surgical, Surgical, Behavioral Health, Operating Room, and Emergency Department, with an average daily census of 70 patients.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care delivered across all units within the facility.
• Provide coaching and counseling to nursing staff to meet performance standards.
• Manage crisis intervention and emergency preparedness efforts.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
• Oversee incident reporting and infection control practices.
• Coordinate centralized staffing and manage patient transfers to higher-level care when required.
• Perform rapid response duties and manage patient care in critical situations.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
• Comfort in taking charge during off hours/weekends, with experience in diverse healthcare settings.
• Experience utilizing the EPIC charting system.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in New York.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS preferred.
