4 shifts of 12 hours each, nights (19:00 to 07:30), with every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU), focusing on patients with cardiac telemetry needs. The role involves continuous patient monitoring and administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry.
- Administer medications and blood products as necessary.
- Assist with patient assessments and care plans.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
- Document nursing interventions in the Cerner system.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding their conditions and care.
- Float within the unit as needed, adhering to scope of practice.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or PCU setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Pennsylvania or multi-state compact RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
