ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical (3x12 Hour Nights) in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 hour shifts (Day or Night), every other weekend. Floating may be required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses related to orthopedic, neurosurgery, general surgery, and urology. The unit is not monitored, and nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for a ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize telemetry for patient monitoring as necessary.
• Provide wound care and manage surgical drains.
• Assist with the administration of blood products and manage feeding tubes.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies following established protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum one year of Med/Surg experience is required; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active PA or compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• BLS certification is required, and only AHA certifications are accepted.
