Schedule/Shift

Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the ICU provides comprehensive patient care for critically ill patients. You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing ventilated patients and vasoactive drips. The role requires familiarity with Cerner for electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in the ICU.
• Administer medications and manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and vasoactive drips.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience

• Active Alabama or Multistate RN license with no prior NURSYS hits.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with ventilated patients and vasoactive drips.
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Alabama or Multistate.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
