Rotating shifts: 12-hour days and nights, 3 shifts per week. May accommodate just night shifts.

Job Description

This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit at a community hospital. The RN will work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit provides care for medical non-monitored patients and supports post-operative care including joint replacements and weight loss management surgeries. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage care for patients recovering from surgery and those with medical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, and assist with medical procedures as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical unit.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact nursing license is required at submission.
