ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Greensboro, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires night shifts, working four 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays (at least 8 weekend shifts per contract). Floating may be required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide care to a varied patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This position involves responsibilities in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department, focusing on blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and managing continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration. The nurse will also be responsible for CPAP/BiPAP management, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), and care of ventilated patients, alongside triage duties with an established patient ratio of 1:5.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and manage central line care.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as needed.
• Manage continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Provide procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Interpret ABGs and manage CPAP/BiPAP for patients.
• Triage patients, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.

Required Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply, but they must have the necessary qualifications.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC charting is essential.
