Schedule/Shift

Monday to Friday, 4 ten-hour shifts with a flexible day off based on departmental needs. No on call and no weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill medical and surgical patients undergoing invasive procedures under Fluoroscopy and general X-ray. The RN will assist with procedures in Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Neurosurgical interventions using aseptic techniques according to AORN guidelines. This role emphasizes collaboration within a Shared Governance model and focuses on delivering evidence-based care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in invasive procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote a healing environment.
• Develop and maintain competencies related to Interventional Radiology patient care.
• Provide comprehensive pre/post procedural care and education to patients.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring and groin care.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.
• Deliver exceptional patient care to hemodialysis populations and manage fistula care.
• Work within an integrated healthcare system to provide professional critical care nursing.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Nurse or Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse.
• Experience with moderate sedation administration.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular caseload.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certification are required.
