This position is for the Day Shift, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology department at UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, you will provide specialized clinical care to patients undergoing elective catheterization procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring patient safety, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as required during procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients before, during, and after Electrophysiology procedures.
• Administer medications and manage sedation protocols as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in patient education and ensure understanding of treatment plans.

Required Experience

• Active RN license in Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on cardiology or electrophysiology preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Certification in Electrophysiology nursing (CEPN) preferred.
