ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Cath Lab Recovery (Day Shift) in Asheville, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, consisting of two shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and one shift from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Floating to Interventional Radiology Pre/Post is rare and based on volume.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab Recovery unit is responsible for preparing and recovering patients undergoing catheterization procedures. This unit features a patient ratio of 3:1 and utilizes equipment such as IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry boxes. The documentation system in use is Cerner, ensuring efficient patient record management.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-procedural care for patients recovering from catheterization.
• Perform sheath pulls and monitor groin access site management.
• Conduct cardioversions and assist in sedation management.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and hospital guidelines.

Required Experience

• Critical care or previous procedural experience in Cath Lab or EP Lab.
• Competent in sheath removal and moderate sedation.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ACLS certification is required.
