Job Description

The Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is looking for an ECHO Tech to join their team. This position involves performing echocardiography testing using ultrasound equipment on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric, primarily for cardiac evaluations. The facility serves a diverse and high-acuity patient population, necessitating a strong ability to work under pressure due to the STAT nature of many procedures. Exposure to body fluids and blood is a regular occurrence in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct echocardiographic examinations following established protocols and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment and report any issues.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiology or completion of an accredited echocardiography program.
• Experience in performing echocardiograms on diverse patient populations, including high-acuity cases.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current registry or certification in Adult Echocardiography (ARDMS or ARRT) is required.
• Current registry or certification in vascular ultrasound is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
