This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working nights from 7 PM to 7 AM, with alternating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a Medical-Surgical unit, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The role requires effective communication with patients and their families, close collaboration with healthcare teams, and proficiency in using Cerner for patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans as necessary.
• Utilize Cerner for accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and ongoing care needs.

Required Experience

• Current RN licensure in the state of Mississippi or compact state.
• Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical setting is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner documentation system.
• Must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
