Schedule/Shift

Evening shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a rotating schedule covering 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability is required, specifically on 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, or 1/1.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will work in a 54-bed unit catering to a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, COPD, and respiratory conditions. Responsibilities will encompass critical care drips management, IV starts, ventilator management, and EKG interpretation using the EMR system Wellsoft and SCM.

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients with various conditions, including administering critical care drips.
• Initiate IV therapy and assist with lab draws and blood culture collections.
• Perform ventilator and arterial line management.
• Intubate patients as required and conduct EKG interpretations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain flexibility with scheduling demands.

Required Experience

• Active MS Registered Nurse license.
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
