Job Description
This role is situated within a level 1 unit providing care for women and newborns. The unit performs labor and delivery services and monitors mothers and babies until they are stable, either allowing them to remain or ensuring safe transfers when necessary. The facility averages 20 deliveries per month and utilizes EPIC for charting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in labor and delivery.
- Monitor patients and ensure their stability for either continuation of care in the unit or safe transfer.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and outcomes with accuracy using EPIC.
Required Experience
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- STABLE certification.
Certifications/Licensure
A current and unrestricted RN license is required for submission.
