This position requires on-call duty one time per week and one weekend every six weeks, with weekends required only for on-call scheduling.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will support a variety of cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a high standard of patient care and efficiency in a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will scrub a wide range of procedures, with preference given to those with robotic experience. The successful candidate will utilize the Epic charting system and be part of a team dedicated to high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for diverse cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Assist in ensuring all surgical equipment is sterile and ready for use.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including nurses and surgeons.
• Utilize and maintain proficiency in using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in call coverage and weekend on-call scheduling.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience in cardiovascular and robotic procedures is highly desirable.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• NBSTSA certification preferred.
