ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Oncology (Night Shift) in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with weekend coverage required. Travelers must be available for call if required and may need to float to similar units.

Job Description

This Medical-Surgical Oncology unit cares for patients receiving chemotherapy. The team seeks travelers who are either chemotherapy certified or willing to obtain the ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration certification, which can be done prior to or during the assignment. The unit monitors patients who have received chemotherapy and manages a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses, ensuring comprehensive care and support.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
• Perform assessments and deliver direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
• Manage colostomy care, blood products administration, and central line management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC documentation system.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and report on patient progress.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient medical-surgical setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration certification is preferred and must be obtained if not already certified.
• Current NC or Compact RN license is required.
