3x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, some weekends.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit, where you will provide critical care for patients transitioning from higher levels of care. The unit takes patients with varying acuities, most of whom have cardiac issues or have undergone cardiovascular procedures. You will utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions.
• Manage cardiac telemetry and read strips.
• Perform IV starts and manage IV infusions.
• Administer medications and provide wound care.
• Implement care plans and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1.5-2 years of RN experience.
• 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• 2 years of experience in a Stepdown unit.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
