This position offers a 3x12 hour Day shift from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures, including but not limited to CT scans of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, and other areas as required. The role involves operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety, and performing necessary procedures with the appropriate contrast media.

Documentation will be performed using the Epic charting system. The technologist will work in a short-term acute care facility with a total of 104 staffed beds and can expect a daily census of around 50 patients.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including interpretation services, is vital for effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of various body parts as ordered by physicians.
• Prepare and administer contrast media for imaging as necessary.
• Follow safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and document procedures accurately in Epic.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members if needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar setting is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (ARRT R).
• BLS certification is required.
