Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with floating to Telemetry units as necessary.
Job Description
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. You will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The unit consists of 20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1 and a surge plan of 3:1 as needed. Experience with the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to devise and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities in Cerner EMR.
- Participate in patient and family education.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit.
- Current ACLS certification.
Certifications/Licensure
- Valid RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- ACLS certification required.
- Cerner EMR experience preferred.
