Shifts are from 7A to 7:30P and 7P to 7:30A, with rotating weekends or four weekend shifts per schedule and holidays as per unit policy.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Methodist Boerne Emergency Center will provide care to patients experiencing a range of urgent medical conditions. The facility is a full-service, freestanding emergency center open 24/7, equipped with 15 treatment rooms including trauma and fast-track care areas. The RN will be responsible for stabilizing critical patients and providing ongoing assessments and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department setting.
- Stabilize patients experiencing acute medical conditions and prepare for transport to an advanced care facility as necessary.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment, including CT scanners and telemetry systems, to aid in patient evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech system.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active Texas RN License (temporary license will not be accepted).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications are required.
