On call: One weekend a month and one day a week. Day shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

The Endoscopy unit at Medical City Dallas features 6 procedure rooms and 13 prep/recovery bays. The team consists of 12 staff members, including 8 nurses and 4 techs during the day shift. This position will involve caring for both adult and pediatric patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy.
• Monitor patients in the prep and recovery phases at a 2:1 ratio.
• Utilize Meditech as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Maintain compliance with unit guidelines, including minimal phone usage and no earbuds during shifts.

Required Experience

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in endoscopy preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Endoscopy experience is preferred.
